le gramme is also woven through encounters and crossed perspectives. since the origin of the le gramme project, fashion designer Alexis Mabille has been part of this community of caring people around the brand. twisting silhouettes, mixing eras, alexis revisits men's and women's wardrobes, structuring the body with graphic lines, suggesting sensuality through movement, claiming cuts imbued with lightness, fluidity and precision.

How do you present yourself when we talk about you and your job?
People say that I am a couturier, quite simply, that has the merit of being clearer than a stylist or designer.

What is one thing you say about yourself as a fashion designer that particularly touches you?
These are not words, but emotions. I sometimes make people cry with emotion during a parade. it's very touching. also hearing that I made people happy, that I made them want to go with a color, to re-interpret a piece of clothing, a volume. all seasons to reinterpret a style to go further and try.

What matters most in your job?
to please first of all. to be able to do only what I want, to have the freedom not to listen to everyone. being creative is choosing to be free, it is taking a risk which consists of having your own point of view and adhering to it whatever happens.

le gram is a lifestyle brand for men, it offers essential objects, in your world what is the iconic element, the one that symbolizes you?
the bow tie. it was he who made me known at the very beginning, to become a distinctive symbol that I rework from year to year. for me it constituted a form of unisex evidence in terms of accessories, I wanted to give a chance to something that some considered old-fashioned.

and your object le gramme, what is it and how do you wear it?
I wear my pieces in pairs, a bracelet on each wrist, just like the maharajas of old! the 7g is particularly pretty with the bottom of the shirt cuff which it closes with a fine stripe. I sometimes mix them with other jewelry, their essential character allows it, they become like tattoos, two silver threads that do not move.

If le gramme was a piece of clothing... what would it be?
it would rather be an underwear, because it is an intimate jewel. maybe even a nice kangaroo brief.

What is the gift you would like to receive soon?
a painting by Jacob Kassay, a New York artist who creates, among other things, silver monochromes. they are like mirrors in which we will never see ourselves. I also collect mirrors, as well as silverware.
