Because gold is multi-colored. Yellow, red or white gold, 750-18 carat gold crafted by LE GRAMME is composed of 750/1000th pure gold and a mixture of 250/1000th copper and silver. Varying proportions of copper and silver result in gold colors ranging from yellow to red. In its variation of rings with a smooth imprint and polished finish, LE GRAMME uses the three colors of gold.

Because gold is a rarity. At a rate of 5 mg per ton of earthly matter, if we brought together all the Gold extracted since antiquity and still buried to this day, we would obtain a cube with “only” 21 meters of edges and weighing 200,000 tons.

Because gold is unalterable. Whatever is done to it, gold remains intact whether it is submerged or buried; its nature and weight will never vary. Indestructible and infinitely reusable, its quantity present on earth will never increase or decrease whatever its transformation. In India, the quantity of gold from offerings in temples is currently estimated at more than 22,000 tonnes, enough to please the goddess Lakshmi. Common to all religions, the law of reciprocity “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” sanctifies the purity of the heart and so aptly bears its name the Golden Rule.
